MIND
From a simple puzzle or artwork to more involved word games, our team members find personalized ways to help stimulate brain function, increase engagement, and add joy to each day, as part of the way to create a more enriched life experience.
Our staff is trained in the proven GEMS® cognitive model, which bases activities and personal approaches on the knowledge that everyone’s abilities can change in a moment. In addition to assisting individuals and their families with daily activities, such as bathing and eating, we focus on methods for reducing anxiety common with dementia. This blend of compassionate care with scientifically based knowledge provides comfort during what can be trying times.
BODY
Interim HealthCare providers care for the whole person, regardless of diagnosis, providing the support needed to reach individual physical goals. From physical therapy routines ordered by a physician to simple daily activities, we seek ways to help each person reach their full potential for increased motor function. We know that gentle support for the body helps boost the mind and spirit also.
SPIRIT
Spirituality is unique to each person, but at Interim we look for ways to tap into individual hopes, dreams and sources of peace and happiness. Whatever brings out a smile – a picture or a poem, even an uplifting video, arts and crafts or music, our team members will seek opportunities to lift spirits and bring joy to each day.
FAMILY
Supporting the person at the center of our care means providing resources and advice, as well as compassion and understanding to family members and other caregivers.
Our trained healthcare professionals can decrease anxiety for the family and the patient by understanding what issues to expect and how to manage them. Our leaders can assist in contacting providers and inquiring about medical attention when warranted.
